Application of the International Residential Code Building Module- IRC-B
Days: Two weekends Fri & Sat., 8:00 am - 3:00 PM
Course length: 24 Hrs (2.4 CEU) / (4 days over 2 weekends)
Location: Chattahoochee Tech (Formerly North Metro Tech) - Acworth, GA
Cost: GAHI Members with ICC Combination Certification (Refresher): $300 + Books, All Others: $595 + Books
Student level: Intermediate: The student should possess a basic knowledge of residential building terminology and components
Course Objective: to prepare the student to take the ICC certification exam

Provides inspectors, architects, engineers, system designers and individuals pursuing certification in residential construction codes or residential inspection with an overview of the critical concepts of the International Residential Code ®. Explains building requirements and related code applications necessary for compliance with the 2009 IRC. The objective is to provide building professionals with practical knowledge of the 2009 IRC needed for field inspections, building and design.
Student will need a copy of the related code book: 2009 International Residential Code and Study Companion.
The Building IRC-B covers chapters 3-10 of the IRC including building planning, foundations, floors, wall construction and covering, roof/ceiling construction, and chimneys and fireplaces.
PLEASE NOTE: "Application of the International Residential Code" classes (IRC B, M, E & P) may be taken in a series with a substantial discount to the student, $1995.
Application of the International Residential Code Mechanical Module- IRC-M
Days: Four consecutive Saturdays 8:00 am - 3:00 PM
Course length: 24 Hrs (2.4 CEU) / (4 days over 2 weekends)
Location: Chattahoochee Tech (Formerly North Metro Tech) - Acworth, GA
Cost: GAHI Members with ICC Combination Certification (Refresher): $300 + Books, All Others: $595 + Books

The Mechanical IRC-M covers chapters 12-24 of the IRC including mechanical, HVAC, combustion air, venting and fuel gas provisions.

Application of the International Residential Code Electrical Module - IRC - E

Explains electrical requirements and related code applications necessary for compliance with the 2008 NEC. The objective is to provide building professionals with practical knowledge of the 2009 IRC needed for field inspections, building and electricaldesign.
Student will need a copy of the related code book: 2009 International Residential Code and Study Companion.
The Electrical IRC-E covers chapters 34-42 of the IRC including general requirements, materials used for residential plumbing systems, water distribution piping, drain and vent piping, and traps.

Application of the International Residential Code Plumbing Module- IRC - P
Days: Three consecutive Saturdays 8:00 am - 3:00 PM (Friday only the second week)
Course length: 18 Hrs (1.8 CEU) / (3 days over 2 weekends)
